Environmentally Responsible Technology
The school is constructed using three primary materials: wood, polycarbonate, and steel. CLT elements are manufactured in prefabricated, precision-cut forms, resulting in minimal construction waste. When dismantled, many parts can even be composted. Polycarbonate is recyclable and adaptable, while steel is used selectively where structural demands exceed wood’s capacity.
The building rests on ground screws rather than a traditional concrete foundation, significantly reducing the need for concrete and lowering the project’s overall ecological footprint.
