Monolith Lodge
The story began with a completed concept design that immediately captured the owner’s attention. The unique features of the Dobogókő plot and the approach of Pyxis Nautica provided an ideal foundation for a home that is both contemporary and deeply connected to nature. The owner’s vision, Pyxis Nautica’s concept, and Hello Wood’s dual perspective as designer and builder thus came together to form a shared story.
It was at this stage that Hello Wood joined the project, taking the concept further and shaping it into its final form as builders with a designer’s mindset. The team not only worked on the realization but also collaborated closely with the architects to ensure that every detail of the house harmonized with the spirit of the place and the character of Hello Wood Resorts. Through this shared creative process, structural and material solutions were developed that made the project both more cost-efficient and architecturally stronger.
The client lives abroad and returns to Hungary only a few times a year, so they envisioned a unique home that could serve both as a personal retreat and a premium guest accommodation. The house has a heated net floor area of 104.9 m², complemented by a 16.1 m² mezzanine. A 31.2 m² covered terrace and a 17.6 m² open terrace wrap around the building, seamlessly connecting the interior space with the surrounding forest.
The house welcomes its guests with three bedrooms, a master suite and two smaller rooms. Inside, natural exposed CLT wood surfaces, designer furniture, and carefully selected premium materials create a contemporary yet homely atmosphere. A Finnish sauna and an outdoor electric hot tub provide spaces dedicated to comfort and relaxation.
