After the successful festival held in 2010, in 2011 55 students participated in the week-long workshop from 9 Hungarian universities, and from 3 institutions from across the border, and due to its extended program there were workshops held in three themes (Wood, Typo, Film).
Between July 6 and 13, two weeks prior to the Valley of Arts program series, Hello Wood was held in the picturesque Csórompuszta, situated between the villages of Kapolcs and Vigántpetend. The art works created during the art camp subsequently traveled around the country to be seen and to inspire.
The goal of the program was to create in mixed teams formed of students from different institutions, each led by a well-known representative of a relevant design profession. This system offered a unique opportunity of mixing generations and forming friendships that reach well beyond the confines of the universities involved. An important aspect of the art works created during Hello Wood was to relate to the environment as well as to reflect on it.
